I looked in the mirror and saw I was turning into something I didn't want to become.

Meet Ed, Madbarz athlete from UK. He found exactly what works for him and got shredded much sooner than he expected.

The Beginning

„My journey started with lifting weights. I was getting results but it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to be slim, lean and strong weight training wasn't giving that to me, I just had strength and size. I started to question what's more effective calisthenics vs weight training.

In September 2015, Ed discovered Madbarz App and changed his training style.

Faster Results

"The first workout I did in the app was Diamond Pull and by the next day I was feeling sore.

Soon I knew this is what I wanted to do, my body started to transform.

But it wasn't a soreness I was used to, it felt like new muscles are activated. My chest had taken the shape I had always dreamed of in two days.

I left the weights behind and focused on bodyweight training, it changed my life because:

  • I could literally do a workout anywhere, there's no excuses
  • I can make a killer workout in less than 10 minutes
  • I never miss a workout, and I love it."

Workouts

"I'm doing short intense workouts with minimal rest, it works best for me. Some days I do bar work (pull ups, chin ups etc.) and when I don't have any equipment I do push ups, squats, burpees and planking amongst other things."

His favourite pre-made Madbarz routines are: Push Dose, Quad Boost, Diamond Pull. But Ed loves to create his own challenges to stay on track.

Motivation

Ed finds the motivation in seeing continuous results. But it's not just the physique, it's a new quality of life.

„My gut was poking out and a bit more than a couple of stairs would leave me breathless and sweaty. Failure to look after my body resulted in sickness and a lower quality of life.„

My goal for 2016 is to become more defined.
